Bellagio Mechanical Wine Opener

The Bellagio classically inspired wine opener by Farfalli combines an authentic look with a modern Italian touch. This design replicates that of an early 19th-century rack and pinion English corkscrew wine opener. Its steel auger worm/screw quickly pierces the cork and the rack and pinion system ensures smooth extraction.

To use, start by cutting the foil around the neck of the bottle with a foil cutter (sold separately). Remove the capsule and position the auger worm/screw in the center of the cork. Drive the worm into the cork by turning the top handle clockwise. Insertion should be easy thanks to the sharp point and enhanced grip that the auger worm provides. Once inserted, wind the side handle in a clockwise direction to lift the cork from the bottle.
